This is a short article that I wrote a few years back for The National Lipid Association to explain how Atherosclerosis occurs. And why this test is so important to have done by everyone but especially in people who are at risk or have a family history of an early cardiovascular event, diabetics, pre-diabetes, or have who have had a stroke, heart attack or some intervention done on their heart.
